As I mentioned in a recent
post, the Yankees were inquiring about the Cubs' Alfonso Soriano. Today, after he waved his no-trade clause, the Yankees got him and gave up Corey Black, a Single-A pitcher. The Yankees will only have to pay $6.8 million of the 24.5 million dollars Soriano is owed through the end of the 2014 season.
