Growing split between Alex Rodriguez and Yankees

After Alex Rodriguez went on to the disabled list, he sought a second opinion from a doctor in order to get back to the field as soon as possible. However, this is not allowed by the CBA, which says that he has to use a team-approved doctor and must inform the team in writing. Adding to the growing divide is the fact that Rodriguez thinks that the Yankees are trying to get him banned for life for use of steroids. This would be a good move for the Yankees as it would save them many millions of dollars in salary over the next few years.
