Yankees Records

These are just some of the Yankees records that could be broken in the near future.

Derek Jeter is only 88 runs away from Babe Ruth's record. Barring injury, it will probably be broken next season.

Derek Jeter is also 10 doubles away from Lou Gehrig's 534. Jeter actually owns the record of grounding into double plays with 269. The hit by pitch record also belongs to him with 163.

Brett Gardner is quickly approaching the all-time Yankees record of steals held by Derek Jeter. Gardner has 154 while Jeter leads everyone with 348.

Andy Pettitte has 215 wins, placing him 3rd behind Whitey Ford's 236 wins. In 12 more starts, he will tie Ford's record of 438. In bad news, he only needs 16 losses to break that record.

As you can see, many records will be tied or broken soon.
