Yankees lose to Red Sox 13-9
Today marks the third straight winnable game that the Yankees have lost. The final score was 13-9. David Huff got the start instead of Phil Hughes and proceeded to give up 9 runs in 3.1 innings. Jim Miller then came in and gave up 3 runs in 1.1 innings. The Yankees' offense was great, however, Brett Gardner went 2-3 with a walk and drove in two runs. In the sixth inning Derek Jeter left after injuring his left ankle. This is the second straight game the Red Sox have scored at least 12 runs.There is still one game left in the series, which is tomorrow.
